Cement Technology

Future in Cement Technology, must see this video.

We are the first university in India, who is offering B.Tech.(Cement Technology) course.

India is the second largest cement producing nation in the world, producing approximate 270 million tons and China has capacity of 2000 million tons. Satna is situated in one of the largest limestone clusters of the country and contributing 8-9% to total production of Cement in India. Ten large capacity cement plants are presently operating in and around Satna and equal number of cement plants are expected to be installed in near future.

According to recent surveys, the cement industry is expected to grow at a rapid pace over the next few years to cater the growing infrastructure and real estate projects. As a result, there will be more employment in all these sectors.

Satna is known as Cement City of India.

Jobs and Scopes

As per the new policy of Govt. of India there will be huge investment in infrastructural sectors. The demand of cement is going to be double i.e. approximately 550 MT. To produce 550 MT the technical man power requirement has to be doubled from the present state. In fact, working in the cement industry is also considered as a lucrative career option for the freshers and the youngsters. Some of the well known cement companies in the country are:

Ambuja Cements Ltd, J.K Cement Ltd, Grasim Industries Ltd, Associated Cement Company Ltd (ACC), Madras Cement Ltd., Cement Corporation Of India, Birla Corporation Ltd., Jaypee Cement, Sanghi Industries. Binani Cement Ltd., La’Farage India., Holcim India, Heidelberg India, Shree Cement Ltd.etc., Century Cement, Ramco Cement, Altratech Cement etc.

Build your future in Civil Engineering ? A Motivational Video

Civil engineering is an engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including structure such as bridges, roads, canals, dams, buildings, sea ports, power plants and airports.

Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline. Civil engineering takes place in all levels: in the public sector from municipal to federal levels, and in the private sector from individual homeowners to international companies.

The entire infrastructural framework of a modern nation is the creation of civil engineers. Their role is to ensure safe, timely and well-resourced completion of projects in many areas, including highway construction, waste management, coastal development and geotechnical engineering.

Job Prospects

In India, things are looking up in the infrastructure sector. There is  great employment prospects for civil engineers in government, public sectors and private sectors like the railways, municipal bodies, the Defenses, National Highway Authority of India, government development authorities like the DDA and government housing authority, BHEL and many more.

Opportunities exist in the public and private sectors in large numbers in all branches of design, construction and maintenance, infrastructure development in both India and abroad. Right now construction industry is booming as there is growth in infrastructure requirement throughout the country. This is going to stay for next few decades with smart cities coming up. Scope of civil engineers lies with many developing countries in Middle East, Africa, and Asia where infrastructure development is picking up and Indian engineers are in great demand.

Civil engineers can also work at national, state and municipal levels of the government. They can also start their own business. Elsewhere, students can earn good perks by involving themselves in innovative research.

Mining Engineering

In whole of MP, AKS University, is first to start B.Tech level program in Mining Engineering. The Mining engineers passing Diploma and B.Tech are finding jobs in various mines in statutory capacities. They also get absorbed in non-statutory jobs in mines and allied segments. With a very updated course structure, we are geared up to extend state-of-the-art teaching together with frequent visits of our students to Coal and other mines.

Introduction Mining and minerals industry in India has made significant progress and still has a substantial potential of growth stored in this sector. India has an estimated 85 billion tons of minerals reserved to be exploited. Mining industry has a vast employment potential and also offers high wages. The mining industry in India offers a wide range of opportunities to mining engineers both in the public and private sector. The sector is in continuous need of professionals and skilled persons that can contribute to the further and rapid development of this sector. Employment in the mining and minerals industry typically means a technical job concerned with the use of tools and techniques for exploration, drilling, extraction, refining, etc.

Mining and Mine Environment, Geometrics, Mine Safety, legislation Reliability etc , and relevant computer applications related to course of study. Students having the degree of mining engineering will be aware of theory, practices and application of extracting and processing minerals from environment. They will be exposed to subjects like mineral exploration techniques, processing of minerals, and safety in mining engineering. Studies of mining on global warming have become an important field of study and research and development in mining engineering. This field of mining engineering offers opportunities for both higher education as well as industry. Only few Universities and Institutions offer this course of engineering therefore it gives ample opportunities for growth and progress.

Jobs and Scopes

Mining is an important part of every national economy. In the world that is already facing shortage of some of the important minerals like petroleum and coal, the demand for such products is only bound to increase with time. Meeting those demands will be a challenge for the mining and minerals industry worldwide. With increasing efforts in R&D and technological innovations, the mining and mineral industry has developed huge human resources. There is already a shortage of skilled workforce throughout the world. Developments are taking place rapidly and many organizations in this sector are expanding their operations and are working on new projects. Career opportunities are knocking at the door of the mining and minerals professionals with a growing demand for the engineering (operational) as well as management professionals for this industry. opportunities in the oil and gas industry are available for both offshore and onshore jobs.

Now more than 50% companies in Mining are in private sector rest are in Government/Public Sector like:Coal India Ltd., SAIL, Cement Plants, State Mining Corporations, Jindal, NALCO, HZL etc.
