Pharmaceutical Science & Technology

The pharmaceutical sciences are a group of interdisciplinary areas of study related to health sciences & Chemical Sciences which are involved with the design, action, delivery, disposition, and use of drugs. This field draws on many areas of the basic and applied sciences, such as chemistry, biology, chemometrics, mathematics, epidemiology, statistics, physics, and chemical engineering, and applies their principles to the study of drugs.

About the faculty

The faculty of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology (FPST), AKS University, Satna is one of the premier institutions for pharmaceutical education and research in the Vindhya Region. The college (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy) was started in the year 2006 affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal and now became a constituent Unit of AKS University in 2012. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy is approved from Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The faculty of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology now offers B.Pharmacy.

  1. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi Sponsored National Conference On “Innovation In Alternative To Animal Experimentation----From Drug Discovery To Drug Delivery” (IAAE-DDDD-2015) is going to be organized by the Department of Pharmacy on 21st-22nd August 2015. The programme is also supported by the Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS) As a part of  India Pharmacology – Initiative Program (IP-IP).
  2. Founder batch Students of B.Pharmacy of AKSU went on One Day Educational Cum Industrial Visit to Guapha Pharmaceuticals, Jabalpur (MP) on 27th June 2015.
  3. One Day Certificate training programme was organized by the Department of Pharmacy in Association with APTI-MP state Branch on “Scope and Potential After Pharmacy: a Galaxy of Job Opportunities and Careers” on 28th February 2015.
  4. Two Day National Workshop was organized by the Department of Pharmacy on “Role of Intellectual Property in Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Industry” on 22nd-23rd November 2014.
