Management Studies

OBJECTIVES

The department of management studies along with the students conduct research and carry out consultancy services in various sectors of management, social studies and interdisciplinary matters too. Topics included in our research arena are – leadership skills measurement, cross-cultural issues, competency mapping, balance score card, the study of inflation and economic surveys. We also conduct case study development workshops.

MISSION

Students undertake skill development programmes research projects and short term courses as extra value addition apart from their degree program. The students receive guidance from our esteemed faculty members periodically as and when required. The students under the guidance of various faculty members carry out various extracurricular activities also to develop their overall personality.

 

The faculty of Management Studies is performing under the leadership of Dr Harshvardhan Shrivastav, Dean (Management ).

COURSES OFFERED

Department conducts regular industrial visits and additional certificate courses for students which enhance their career path and work as high-value addition for the student’s future growth. We conduct regular guest lecture series too. It facilitates foreign educational tours for the faculty members and students.

INFRASTRUCTURE / LAB

CLASS ROOMS

The department has got a total of 14 classes each having a capacity of 60 students. All the classes are well ventilated and furnished. 06 classes are equipped with LCD screens and the latest projectors. All the classes are having good ICT infrastructure and accessories..

ONLINE CLASSES

The university has provided two smart classes with audio and video conferencing facilities. online classes are conducted by experts of national and international fame.

COMPUTER LAB

There are two computer labs for the project, research and related activities. The lab faculty members are always available to guide the students.

 
LIBRARY AND CANTEEN FACILITY FOR STUDENTS

There are two libraries with all required books, journals(IIMI Journal, ISTD Journal, XISS journal, Corporate Citizen Magazine) and research papers for the students and a very good canteen(walking distance ) for refreshment and lunch in the campus itself.

Centre for social research and managerial skill development The department of management studies and research together with the students conduct research and carry out consultancy services in various sectors of management, social studies and interdisciplinary matters too. Student research and skill development association The department has an active research association of the students by means of which the students get involved in various research and project related activities. The students learn to prepare research proposals and final reports under the guidance of various faculty members. The students represent the department outside the university in various academic and non-academic activities too. In most of the cases, they have proved themselves to be a successful one. The student represents the university in various sports and cultural activities as well.

  • Conducted workshop – On content analysis by NITTTR Bhopal 2-3 Jan 2014.
  • Completed HR audit and prepared report of the same and peer-reviewed the complete HRM / HRD concern of Uranium Corporation Of India Limited, Jhadugara, and Jharkhand. Highly appreciated.
  • Conducted one day MDP for the senior executives of Uranium Corporation Of India Limited (UCIL) – 06/02/15
  • Conducted a two days workshop on digital marketing – 03-04 September 2015 (AKS University, Satna – MP )
  • Conducted several industrial visits and a series of experts lectures for the students.

 Co-ordinated and made the University an active local chapter of NPTEL under the mentorship of IITM and IITK since July 2016. Managed 8 TB data (video and audio) for all trades of the University

  • Dr Kaushik Mukherjee became a member of the editorial board GJMS (Journal) Jabalpur MP since 15 /07/ 2017
  • Conducted vigilance awareness day on 03/11/17 for students with Allahabad Bank Satna as the knowledge partner
  • Conducted skilled training on banking and risk management with TATA capital Orissa as the knowledge partner
  • Organised foreign educational tour for students and faculty member.2-4 Dec 2017 Bangkok Thailand

TWO OF THE MBA STUDENTS CLEARED NATIONAL LEVEL PRESTIGIOUS NCFM CERTIFICATE MODULE CONDUCTED BY NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE AND MANY STUDENTS ARE UNDER PROGRESS FOR THE SAME. THE FACULTY HAS GOT MOU WITH NSE AND BSE BOTH FOR TRAINING OF MBA AND BBA STUDENTS AND VALUE ADDITION TOO
